In the mournful evening of Holy Thursday, in the temple of UAOC-Canonical in Kyiv, as in all the orthodox temples, the clergy read the Twelve Passion Gospels, where was revealed the tragedy of the humankind and the great love of God, Who had given His Son for those, who would believe in Him. The faithful listened to the Holy Gospel with the candles alight, and after the service finished, brought the light to their homes to bring through these sparks the grand force of God`s protection for their families and homes.

Apostle Thomas was absent at that time, that is why he did not believe in the resurrection of Christ: "Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe!"
