On the day of Lesser Blessing of Waters, January 18th, 2011, on the eve of the great Christian holiday Baptism of Our Lord and Holy Theophany, in the Temple of Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous orthodox Church Canonical, Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr and Vicar of Kyiv celebrated solemn prayer service and carried out the rite of blessing of waters.

On the Orthodox New Year, 13th of January, 2011 in the Temple of Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, church service and the sanctification of kutia - traditional Ukrainian dish, took place.

During the light Christmas days - 6th , 7th and 8th of January, 2011 the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical congratulated Kyivans and the guests of the city on the birth of the Savior, they  sang Christmas carols and wished well, peace and God's love to everyone and to every family.

On Christmas Day, January 7, 2011, in the Transfiguration of the Lord Cathedral of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Bishop of Zhytomyr Oleksandr in concelebration with Bishop Vasyliy of Fastiv celebrated the solemn Divine Liturgy. In the single spirit the clergy and the faithful raised their heartfelt prayers to the Heavenly Father, glorifying Him and giving thanks for He with His great love and mercy sent His only begotten Son to save people and free them from the slavery of sin. 

On festive days 6th and 7th of January, 2011,  the clergy and the faithful of the UAOC-C showed touching performance "The Story of Birth of Jesus Savior", put on the basis of the Holy Gospel.

On Saint Nicholas day the festive Divine Liturgy took place in the Transfiguration of Lord Cathedral of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical.

On August 19, 2010, in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr in concelebration with Vasyliy, Bishop of Fastiv ministered the Divine Liturgy in honour of one of 12 main Feasts of Christians of the Eastern rite - the Transfiguration of the Lord.
