On February 21 annually Ukraine and all world celebrate the International Mother Language Day. It was first announced on the ХХХ session of General conference of UNESCO, which was held from 26 October to 17 November 1999 in Paris. The stress was laid on the important role of the language in the developing of the culture and education for the consolidation of the society, forming of the nation and strengthening of the country. This holiday exists in Ukraine since 2002.
