On the day of Lesser Blessing of Waters, the day before the great Christian holiday Baptism of Our Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Theophany, the Patriarch Moses ministered the festive prayer service and accomplished the rite of water consecration after the Sunday Holy Divine Liturgy. "I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." (Matthew 3:11)

On the morning of January 14, the Patriarch Moses  on the first day of the New Year according to the Julian calendar, ministered the Holy Divine Liturgy and asked for the blessing of God to all the children of God irrespective of affiliation or confession, place of residence or colour of skin - for peace to all the children of God.
