On the day of Lesser Blessing of Waters, January 18th, 2012, on the eve of the great Christian holiday Baptism of Our Lord and Holy Theophany, in the Temple of Transfiguration of the Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Vasyliy, Bishop of Fastiv celebrated solemn prayer service and carried out the rite of blessing of waters.

On Sunday, January 15,  clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical recreated the atmosphere of cheerful folk celebrations in theatrical performance "How a goat was led from Malanka to Basil " dedicated to the coming New Year and holidays of Basil and Malanka, traditionally celebrated in Ukraine.

Happy New Year according to the Julian calenda! Let God be the master in your soul and His holy Will rule your life. Let Holy Mother protect you and your families with her omophorion. Let the New Year become the year of the spirituality revival in Ukraine and all over the world!

On blessed days of the Nativity of Christ - 6, 7 and 8 January, 2012, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical were greeting citizens and guests Of Kyiv on the occasion of the birth of the Savior, singing Christmas carols and wishing the good, peace and love of God to every person and every family.

Within fair Christmas days, January 6, 7 and 8, 2012,  the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical put moving theatrical performance "The History of the nativity of Jesus the Savior" based on the stories of the Holy Gospel.

On Christmas Day, January 7, 2012, in the Transfiguration of the Lord Cathedral of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Bishop Vasyliy of Fastiv celebrated the solemn Divine Liturgy. In the single spirit the clergy and the faithful raised their heartfelt prayers to the Heavenly Father, glorifying Him and giving thanks for He with His great love and mercy sent His only begotten Son  to save people  and free them  from the slavery of sin.

On the holidays in honor of St. Nicholas the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical brought out a story for children and their parents' to teach the good and fill their souls with joy. That event happened outdoors on the streets of Kyiv. St. Nicholas with the God's angels and little forest animals were listening to songs and poems from children and gave them presents so kids promised to be polite and obedient. Cold weather did not become an obstacle to fun and the fire of good hearts enhanced the light of the Lord on Earth.
