On 19 August 2012, after the festive Liturgy, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical put the performance "The story of the Transfiguration of the Lord" in the honor of the incomprehensible for the human mind event of the Transfiguration of the Lord and Our Savior Jesus Christ. The performance was put according to the Gospel stories.

On August 19, 2012, in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr in concelebration with Vasyliy, Bishop of Fastiv ministered the Divine Liturgy in honour of one of 12 main Feasts of Christians of the Eastern rite - the Transfiguration of the Lord. All the present felt the specificity of the prayer in the temple, which was built in honour of the majestic event, in the temple that was built by the faithful with the sincere love and deep faith in the salvation of people, in the awakening of their Divine nature.

In the morning on the July 21, 2012, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical held the blessed by God green action, having cleaned the recreation area of the residents of the Osokorky district in Kyiv.

July 12, 2012 the representatives of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical took part in the meeting of the Commission of social service of All Ukrainian Council of Churches and religious organizations in Kyiv. At the meeting were considered the conception and strategy, developed by joint efforts of the Alliance "Ukraine without orphans" and Commission of social service, about the participation of Churches and religious organizations of Ukraine in providing a child with the right to life in a family and in overcoming the social orphan hood for a period of 2012-2020.

On Sunday, May 3, 2012 in the Cathedral of Transfiguration of the Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical the celebration of the International Children's Day took place.

On Sunday, June 3, 2012 all the Christians of the byzantine rite celebrate the Feast of the Holy Trinity. In the Cathedral of Transfiguration of the Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical Bishop Vasyliy of Fastiv ministered a solemn Mass.

20 May 2012, on the Day of All-Ukrainian Sorrow in commemoration of victims of totalitarian regime, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical took part in the mourning ceremonies in the suburb of Kyiv in Bykivnia wood, where the largest place of burying of mass victims of political repressions is situated in Ukraine. There was the place for special purposes of NKVD, where in the end of 1930s-1940s was the mass burying of shot and tortured people by Stalin rule. The tragedy of Bykivnia is very similar to the other crimes such as in Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, Babi Yar and Katyn massacre.
