On Holy Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Kyiv, in the Cathedral of Transfiguration of the Lord of Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Bishop Oleksandr of Zhytomyr in concelebration with Bishop Vasyliy of Fastiv celebrated vesper service with the reading of 12 Passion Gospels.

During the reading, the clergy and the faithful were translated in far gospel times in their thoughts and feelings. They were trying to understand the immensity of love of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to us, His sufferings while taking him into custody in the garden of Gethsemane, a condemnation of bishops and elders to sufferings and death. The clergy and the faithful were trying to feel deeply the state of Jesus when he was brought to court of Pilate and condemned at this  insidious court, to feel deeply His  terrible suffering and martyrdom on the cross with the last request to God the Father: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).
