On the third Sunday of Great Lent, March 27, 2011, in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical Oleksandr, the Bishop of Zhytomyr, Vasyliy, the Bishop of Fastiv and Vasyliy, the Bishop of Uzhgorod concelebrated the Divine Liturgy. They called the faithful to accept in their hearts the words of Our Lord Jesus Christ who foretells us in the Holy Gospel:

In these tragic days for Japan the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical in their prayers to our Lord Jesus Christ, to the Heavenly Father ask to strengthen and help Japanese people to cope with the terrible ordeals.

March 6, 2011, on the Shrove Sunday, in the Temple of Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr together with Vasyliy, Bishop of Fastiv celebrated the Divine Liturgy and blessed the faithful to apologize to, to enter penitential Lent and clean the soul before the grand celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In the morning of January 19th, 2011, on the bank of the Dnipro river, the clergy of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical headed by Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr, Vicar of Kyiv celebrated the prayer service dedicated to Baptism of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the great miracle - Theophany. And a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased" (Mark 1:11).

On the day of Lesser Blessing of Waters, January 18th, 2011, on the eve of the great Christian holiday Baptism of Our Lord and Holy Theophany, in the Temple of Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous orthodox Church Canonical, Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr and Vicar of Kyiv celebrated solemn prayer service and carried out the rite of blessing of waters.

On the Orthodox New Year, 13th of January, 2011 in the Temple of Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, church service and the sanctification of kutia - traditional Ukrainian dish, took place.

During the light Christmas days - 6th , 7th and 8th of January, 2011 the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical congratulated Kyivans and the guests of the city on the birth of the Savior, they  sang Christmas carols and wished well, peace and God's love to everyone and to every family.
